Do you remember back in 2nd grade where you always had to "Find a Buddy" anytime you went on a field trip?  Our teachers knew that if we were with a buddy, we wouldn't go off track and wander out in front of a car.  Our 2nd grade buddies held us accountable.  The same can be said for weight loss and lifestyle changes.  I have started and stopped every diet that's out there.  This time it's different.  This time I have a buddy...and it's my husband.   He's holding my hand and keeping me from wandering out in front of cars.  He's helping me plan healthy satisfying meals we both eat. He's agreed to try the roasted cauliflower recipe (who knew THAT would happen????). He's agreed to eat the paleo almond butter cookies that are made with coconut and have no flour.  Seriously!

I really believe that I'm finding success on this Weight Loss Challenge because my husband is walking this journey as well.  And the good news is that he's losing weight and getting more fit as well.  The not so good news is that he's lost more weight than me.  I'm just kidding...kind of.

Actually, I'm really happy for his success.  His success really is MY success because I get to keep him around longer.  And years from now, he'll still be my buddy...holding my hand and keeping me from wandering out into traffic.

Those 2nd grade teachers, they really know what's most important in life.
