Michael Slagowski just became the ninth high school runner ever to run a sub-4 minute mile.

The Rocky Mountain High School runner won the Idaho 5A state championship last year in the 800, 1,600, and 3,200 meter races.  This past weekend at the Jesuit Twilight Relays in Portland, Oregon he recorded the nation's top times in the 800 meter (1:48.70) and 1,600 meter (4:03.97) races.

He also busted out one of the all time best mile runs in American history with a 3:59.53 mile.  It's just the ninth time ever a high school runner has run a sub-4 minute mile.

Slagowski is committed to Penn State where he'll run next year for the 15th ranked Nittany Lions.
