After seeing Mountain View's 71-2 butt whoopin' over Meridian last night, I started wondering how bad some of the other scores are in Idaho.  And how bad is too bad?

Now I'm not claiming to know exactly what goes on in each game or what really constitutes running up the score or not.  I get how you have to teach your guys to go 100% all the time.  Once you teach them to back off a bit, they get confused and confusion is the last thing you need in a big game you may be facing in the future.

With that said... is winning and winning big the most important thing for these coaches?  I say coaches because they have the most control in scoring blow outs.  Something definitely worth discussing.

Here's some of the lopsided scores from the past two weeks...

Mountain View over Meridian  71-2

Ontario over McLaughlin  53-0

Horseshoe Bend over Rimrock  77-12

Capital over Boise  62-7

Bishop Kelly over Ridgevue  57-6

Crane over Haper/Hunington  70-6

New Plymouth over Marsing  56-0

Skyview over Mt Home  55-0

The biggest High School Football blowout in American history was back in 1927 when two teams from Kansas faced off.  Haven beat Sylvia 256-0 on their home field.  Whoah!
