Standoff in Emmett

A man has been shot inside a home in Emmett and police are trying to negotiate with the suspect!

Police are on the phone with a man suspected of shooting another man in the front of his Emmett home. It has been confirmed that the man has been shot once, and it's possible that he suffered two bullet wounds.

The victims current condition is unknown, but he has been airlifted to a Boise hospital.

In the meantime, keep in mind that Kathey Street and Daniel Street in Emmett have been shut down.

Police have contacted neighbors surrounding the area, telling some to stay in their homes, while they have evacuated others.

The public is being advised to stay out of the area, although all neighbors are safe.
