Sewage Floods Idaho Homes >:-(

Can I just say EWWWWWWWWWW!!!! At least NINE Idaho Falls homes were filled with human waste caused by a sewage backup Thursday night.  The city of Idaho Falls says the problem was caused by backup pump that stopped working while crews were in the midst of upgrading a lift station at around 9 AM.

While City of Idaho Falls spokeswoman reports that the pump is currently being checked every two hours until it's deemed fully operational, there is no estimated time at this point as to when that will be.

The incident caused the residents who were affected in the Southwestern part of town to spend their night attempting to clean up the raw sewage that was dumped into their homes. Reports say that as much as 2.5" of sewage had leaked into their basements.
