Early morning commuters in Boise faced extensive delays today as a result of a harrowing rollover accident that occurred on the I-84 near Eagle Rd.

The incident forced the complete closure of two left-side lanes, funneling traffic into the right lanes and causing an extensive backup that stretched for miles. The wreckage involved a vehicle that had rolled over and came to rest against the center median divider.

There were reports of multiple emergency response vehicles including; highway incident response, ambulances, police cars, and 3-5 police motorcycles. The left lanes were blocked off near the connection of Eagle Road and I-84, redirecting all traffic around the crash site.

The accident not only triggered significant delays, but also prompted many safety concerns. Law enforcement and first responders worked diligently to clear the wreckage and attend to any potential injuries, underscoring the importance of adhering to road safety regulations during such incidents.

As the morning progressed, traffic slowly began to ease, and commuters saw some relief in their journey to work. However, the incident served as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and adherence to traffic laws to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.

The accident investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released details about the cause of the rollover. Commuters are advised to stay updated with local traffic reports and consider alternate routes if possible, as cleanup and investigation efforts continue.
