Remains from Salmon River Identified

Finally some closure for this sweet family who has been missing their child for a year and a half.

It as been confirmed that the remains found in the Salmon River are indeed that of 21 year old Cayla Danenberg. Cayla and her best friend, Tiffany Maupin, plunged into the Salmon River in May of 2016 after returning from the University of Idaho. Tiffany's body was found two weeks after the accident, but for Cayla's family they have never been able to bury their loved one until now.

We all suspected that the discovered remains were either that of Cayla or 54 year old John "Randy" French who according to KTVB is still missing in the Salmon River after he didn't return home from a fishing trip.

I heard Cayla's Mom describe her has her "best friend." My heart absolutely breaks for her. I cannot even imagine what she has been going through for the past year and a half. It's my absolute worst nightmare, but I hope that at least this gives her heart and her mind a little peace.

Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with the Danenberg family and with the family of Mr. French.
