Should This HS Mascot Be on a License Plate?

There's new controversy surrounding this northern Idaho high school mascot...what do you think?

A lawmaker wants to create special license plates with the Orofino Maniac mascot on them. One problem, mental health groups in the area deem the mascot offensive.

The funds raised from the sale of the license plate would benefit school programs in the underfunded high-school. The Idaho Transportation and Defense Committee will send the bill to the House floor, but only if the word "maniac" is removed from the proposal. Good compromise?
