Pedestrian Hit Near Mountain View High School

A crash near a high school is never good, but it happened this morning near Mountain View High School. Here's what happened. 

Around 7 a.m. this morning near the intersection of Locust Grove and East Mastiff Street. According to the Idaho Statesman, a pedestrian was hit and taken to a local hospital but so far we don't know the extent of the victims injuries or whether the victim was a high school student or not.

**UPDATE**

A 15 year old girl has been confirmed to be the victim. We also now know that it was a hit and run incident and the person who hit her is described as driving a tan or champagne colored passenger vehicle with a damaged side-view mirror.
