Wait, what?  Are we getting a new movie theater at The Village in Meridian?  Well, not exactly.  I guess the answer to that really is yes and no.  The Village is doing a major overhaul with expansions and lots of improvements.  Part of that overhaul will be the Village Cinema.  Actually, the theater will be the very first project construction crews will take on.

This summer we'll get much larger seats that, hold on to your horses for this one... they recline.  Oh, and they're also adding a new theater that is more adult themed.  I don't know exactly what that means but I guess we'll all find out together.  Top of the line sound systems will also be installed and construction on this whole project is expected to begin in just a few weeks.

KTVB reports that an entirely different lounge will be constructed with no concession stands and a bar in the middle, kind of like a cross between a piano bar, nightclub, and movie theater.  Everyone can order their food and drinks directly from their seats and the Village Cinema says there's more coming.  What that is, we'll just have to wait and see.
