National Hamburger Day: A Quick History
May 28th is National Hamburger Day, and we can't go through the day without talking about some hamburger history!
- Hamburgers got their name from Hamburg, Germany where a cut of beef called the Hamburg steak is from. This evolved to the modern hamburger.
- Black Bear Resort Casino, in Minnesota holds the world record for the biggest burger, weighing in at 2,014 lbs. and 10 ft. in diameter!
