My Ultimate Idaho Road Trip
I'm going road tripping this summer! Who wants to join me?
- 1
Island Park
My road trip is going to move it's way from the southeast up to the northern part of Idaho. Our first stop is Island Park. My aunt and uncle have a cabin here. The lake is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking.
- 2
Lava Hot Springs
I have fond memories of going to Lava Hot Springs as a kid. My family still talks about how I was such a little thing but such a dare devil and I was the only one who dared go off the highest Olympic size diving board they have.
- 3
Bear World
It's a drive-thru wildlife park where you have the opportunity to see free roaming bears, elk, moose, and more! Bonus, it includes a pretty cool amusement park!
- 4
Floating the Boise River
Can you believe we've been here almost a year now and we haven't floated the Boise River?! It is a must on my road tripping plans this summer, even if it's right here in town!

Silver Creek Plunge
I have been dying to explore Idaho's hot springs and I've heard Silver Creek Plunge is a must experience. Located just outside Garden Valley, it's about a 2 hour drive outside of the Treasure Valley.

Grangeville
4 hours north of the Treasure Valley, Grangeville is where my Great-Grandparents lived and where we would travel to nearly every Thanksgiving. It's a classic small town and I can't wait to show my kids. Huckleberries always remind me of Grangeville and my Grandma's yummy huckleberry jam.
