According to The Oregonian, There was a man who stole an SUV outside of a Meat Market yesterday (Sunday) in Beaverton Oregon, just west of Portland on Canyon Rd. The car was left unlocked with the engines running in the parking lot making the theft all too easy. That is until the car thief realized there was a 4 year old child in a booster in the back seat. That changes the whole situation.

The mother meanwhile was only in the market for a couple of minutes to grab milk and a little meat. She ran outside after seeing the SUV pull out of where she parked it. As she was panicking in the parking lot the thief had made a U turn a couple of blocks up and quickly came back into the parking lot.

He then started yelling at the mother telling her to get the child out of the back seat and lecturing her on her bad parenting and said he would should call the police on her for leaving her kid in the back seat. After she safely got her 4 year old out the man drove off in the stolen SUV again!

Police said, “What she did was not a crime. She was within sight and sound of her child. But she left the car running, so take that extra step, take the keys with you. It’s a good reminder to take extra precaution when we have our little ones with us. Obviously, we’re thankful he brought the little one back and had the decency to do that."

If he decides to take 84 all the way to us here in the Treasure Valley here's the stolen cars description. Thank goodness that little one and the mama are safe.

The stolen vehicle is a 2013 silver Honda Pilot, license plate 357 GLV.
