Police are looking for 20 year old Daniel Havens after he escaped authorities by jumping into the Snake River!

It started early Sunday at 2 am when Fruitland Police were called to a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived on the scene, Havens was already leaving in a 1999 grey Ford Ranger. Cops pulled Havens over and he complied initially, but then pulled away and led police on a chase westbound along I-84 towards Oregon.

Police eventually decided to deploy spike strips to slow Havens down just before exit 374.

When Havens tires deflated on the spike strips he exited the freeway and turned onto Hwy 201. Havens then got out of his truck along the Snake River and as police were on his tail he jumped into the river where police lost sight of him because of the dark conditions.

According to KTVB, a search ensued at daylight, but Daniel Havens was nowhere to be found and it's unclear if he made it out of the Snake River alive or not.
