Boise, and the state of Idaho make a LOT of Top 10 lists. We all know that. Most of them say things like "Boise is a great place to live!" "Best Place To Raise A Family!", or something like that. Not all, however, are favorable. For example, the website Zippia just posted an article that Idaho is among the top ten "Laziest States In America".

Say What? They based their list on a few different things, including commute time and number of hours worked each week. Because most everyone in Idaho has a fairly short commute compared to other states (and I think we like it that way) and the average number of hours worked per week is 38, we come in at number 9!

Here's the list as posted at Zippia:

In a very meticulous, well-thought out, and painstaking methodology, we narrowed down our list to the 10 laziest states in the country. But we’ll get to all that in a minute—first, here they are: the 10 laziest states.

  1. New Mexico
  2. Kentucky
  3. Michigan
  4. Arkansas
  5. Alabama
  6. Ohio
  7. Oregon
  8. Mississippi
  9. Idaho
  10. West Virginia

Personally, I think the list is a bunch of hooey (who even says that any more?). I'll take a group of Idahoans to tackle a hard job any day!
