I-84 Shut Down

If you are traveling this afternoon, beware!! I-84 is shut down in a stretch due to blowing snow. 

I-84 is shut down 54 miles from Utah/ Idaho border to the I-84/I-86 split.

White out conditions have made visibility in the area extremely low, forcing the closure of the freeway.

It's so bad that several semi-trucks and other vehicles have pulled over to the side of the road and stopped until the weather clears.

According to KTVB, it us unclear when the stretch of freeway will re-open, so drivers are urged to use caution heading towards the area, find another route, and of course expect some major delays.

Keep it safe out there. Even though we've had a taste of spring, these storms can pop up on us and cause life-threatening situations.
