This time of year, it's important to stop and think about what we should be thankful for. One thing I'm thankful for it is the opportunity to live and work in this beautiful community. Here's some easy ways you can give back to Boise! The Boise Rescue Mission is selling Christmas trees to help out the homeless in the Treasure Valley with food and shelter this holiday season. If you plan to buy a real tree anyway, you might as well purchase it from the Boise Rescue Mission. The event kicks off November 27th.

Kevin Miller from our sister station 580 KIDO is camping out in the cold this week in an effort to raise 1,000 turkeys for the Boise Rescue Mission! You can donate a turkey and say hello to Kevin at the Garrity Walmart in Nampa (5875 E Franklin Rd) through Saturday, November 21st.

On Wednesday, November 18th CATCH (Charitable Assistance to Community's Homeless) is partnering with Pie Hole and Pita Pit (both the Broadway & Downtown locations) during lunch time for their "Give a Lunch" campaign. You can buy lunch for yourself and for just $5 you can help buy a homeless person lunch as well.

Boise gives us so much, let's give a little bit back!
