Garden City Shooting

An officer involved shooting happened in Garden City this morning. 

A white Durango led police on a high speed chase from Eagle to the Garden City Police Department starting at about 2 a.m.

Two Boise City officers and two Garden City police officers approached the man involved and that led to the suspect pointing a gun at the police and then crashing into the police department building.

At that point all four officers pulled out their weapons and shot both the windshield and the two passenger side windows of the Dodge Durango.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, but it is still unclear whether he died from gun shot wounds or the crash.

According to KTVB, the name of the man involved is Anthony Ray Bauer who was wanted for grand theft. No officers were injured in the incident.
