Glad to hear that this baby won't have these two taking care of him anymore.  Nigel and Karissa Peters were arrested last night after a traffic stop lead deputies to finding heroin, cocaine, bath salts, and guns in the same car as their 5-month-old son.  In fact, most of the nearly 9 ounces of heroin was found in the baby’s diaper bag.

The couple was pulled over on S. Eagle Road around 10 PM after deputies saw their car driving erratically.  After a K-9 dog smelled drugs in the car, deputies found the heroin along with roughly 13 grams of cocaine and some bath salts.  Deputies also found the two handguns that were in the car and also discovered that Nigel Peters had an outstanding arrest warrant for a parole violation.

Due to the proximity of the infant to the drugs and the guns, the infant was declared to be in imminent danger and placed in the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

In addition, the couple could face up to life in prison for the crime of trafficking heroin.
