If you were somewhere in the vicinity of Front Street and 9th Street this morning around 7 a.m. then you probably weren't too happy with how bad the traffic was backed up.  Whenever I'm sitting in something like this I always want to know why and often times you never see what happened or why there's traffic because our great men and women at the Boise Police Department get things wrapped up so quickly.

Here's what happened this morning.  According to KTVB, there was an accident involving a pedestrian hit by a vehicle at about 7:05 a.m. at Front Street and 9th Street in downtown Boise.  At this point in time, we have no idea how bad the pedestrian was hurt or if his or her injuries are life-threatening.  We also don't know if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or what the exact situation was.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked off which is especially inconvenient because it was right there at the beginning of rush hour but authorities made quick work of things and had everyone moving at full speed by 7:45 a.m.  We're hoping and praying that everyone involved is safe.
