Boise Man Gets Life For Killing Girlfriend’s Ex Husband
I feel like this is something you'd see on Dateline. A Boise man shoots his girlfriend's ex-husband 12 times in the parking lot of the Whispering Pines Apartment Complex in Boise.
40-year-old Joshua Alberts will spend at least 30 years in prison before he's up for parole and has been sentenced to life for shooting 31-year-old Joshua Warren over and over again. Yeah, they have the same first name. Kind of creepy.
Warren was there to pick up his kids and that's when all hell broke loose. Here's a quote from Warren's parents...
“These boys, my grandsons, will never be able to ask their dad anything," Warren's father, George Warren, said in a statement read by the prosecution. "My son will never be able to show them how to do things, or enjoy doing things with them. They’re going to have a hard life without their dad, and that’s all Mr. Alberts' fault."
Alberts originally testified that he had no intention of harming Warren but did confront him about his interference in his relationship. When Warren aggressively started swearing at Alberts, Alberts raised a 9mm handgun and emptied every single bullet into Warren's SUV.
Warren was hit in the face, head, and torso and died immediately after the onslaught of bullets.
