A SWAT team has been released along with the Nampa Police Department and other officers in what KTVB describes as a standoff with an armed 48-year-old woman at a house in the 1300 block of Garland Street, not far from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.

Just before 10 o'clock, this morning officers attempted to take the woman into custody on a felony warrant and that's when she fled, armed herself, and locked herself into what is believed to be her home.  Several roads and most of the area has been placed on lockdown until police can defuse the situation.  No information as to who the woman is or what she's done has been released.  We'll keep you posted.
