13 Year Old Recovering After Being Ran Over On Chinden

On December 23, 13-year-old Ethan Muhlestein took his turn hiding in a snow bank close to Chinden and Fox Run.  A construction worker had no idea someone was in there and plowed through the mound of snow.

Ethan went through hours of surgery Friday night and his family and friends have been praying and hoping ever since.  Ethan's head was split open and he had a lung lacerated.

Up until Saturday, Ethan's family thought they'd lose him right before Christmas.  Since then he's been slowly improving in the hospital but he'll have months of physical therapy before getting back to normal.  The doctors are hopeful for a full recovery but say Ethan's not out of the woods yet.  They're taking things slowly and carefully.
