Young Boise Woman’s Murderer Charged!

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of 18 year old Boise native, Sierra Bush. 

61 year old Bruce Marchant has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, rape, and the murder of former Boise State student Sierra Bush.

Marchant was arrested in a New York City hospital yesterday after Boise Police received tips.

Sierra was reported missing back in September and her body was found outside on October 22nd just South of Idaho City.

According to KTVB, she died of asphyxiation. Sierra was known by many of her friends as "Simon." She was an engineering student in the Honors College and involved in many clubs and activities at BSU.

After nearly 200 interviews a warrant for Marchant's arrest was issued on December 6th.

We hope this gives Sierra's family and friends some much needed closure. Our thoughts and prayers will be with them. No one should ever die in such and evil manner. A beautiful soul gone far too soon.
