Hollie Winnett has pleaded not guilty to killing Twin Falls firefighter Ryan Franklin in a hit-and-run crash earlier this year.

The plea was entered today to felony charges of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.

Winnett's trial is in January but her attorney says negotiations for a possible plea agreement are what they're hoping for.

Ryan Franklin was riding his bike when Winnett struck him with her Jeep back in May.  She told police she fell asleep behind the wheel and woke up when she hit something.  She says she got out of her vehicle but didn't see anything and drove off.

Police found the badly damaged vehicle about 10 miles from the crash site.
