44 year old Sara Curnow is from Portland, Oregon, but in June she plead guilty to wire fraud for stealing $850,000 from St. Luke's!

Curnow was sentenced today to 2 years 3 months in jail. She also has to pay the $850,000 back and serve 3 years probation.

According to KTVB, Curnow wired the money between 2009 and 2015 while she was working for Pinnacle Pension Services. The company handled flex spending accounts where St. Luke's employees deposited pre-taxed money.

If there were unused funds at the end of the year, they were supposed to be forfeited to St. Luke's. Instead Curnow created "dummy claims" where funds were actually deposited into her personal account and now she has to pay the price.
