Deck yourself out in denim tomorrow for a great cause!

Denim Day helps create awareness of sexual assault and rape. It was inspired by an 18 year old woman who back in 1992 was raped for over an hour by her drivers ed teacher in Rome. In 1998 her attackers conviction was overturned because the court said she was wearing jeans that were "too tight" and she would have had to help him take the jeans off. The attack was then ruled to be consensual and not rape.

I was personally outraged when I heard this story and will be wearing denim from head to toe tomorrow! A woman is never "asking for it" no matter what she is wearing. No means no.

As women we need to ban together so that anyone who rapes or sexual assaults a woman pays a price.
