Why The Tree?

I noticed something at the very tip top of the new building in the grove plaza...but it didn't make any sense? Do you know why it's there?

As I was walking in to the FitOne Expo last week, I was looking at the brand new building in the Grove Plaza, when I noticed something really odd; a pine tree at the top of the building right on a steel beam.

Is that a thing here in Boise? Do they do that to all new construction? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?? I'm super curious.

Please help me figure this out, comment below if you've got a clue.
