Why Are You Blessed?

Today's been a really tough day for me.  I'm not going to go into the what, how, who, or why... it's just been tough.  So how do you deal with your tough days?  Here's what I do.

Fall asleep with my grandson on the couch.  Who doesn't love a few lazy moments, and they're even better when you can share them with someone like this cool little guy.

Watch my girls with their mother.  Soul mates, kindred spirits, friends, family, call it what you want... my daughters have a better relationship with their mom than I could have ever dreamed of.  All four of my girls are out of the house now.  College, marriage, babies, they're living their own lives.  But they're back home all the time... hanging with mom.  They laugh, watch tv, eat dinner, and just hang out.  How could I be so lucky?

Hang with my buddy.  We love movies, video games, sports, but we'll try almost anything.  We both hate camping.  Roughing it is not our thing.  But that didn't stop us from spending a few days in a tent up at Lake Cascade where the deer kept barging into our tent at night because the front door zipper was busted.  Most of that camping trip was NOT good, but I can only remember the GOOD parts.

Brag about my kids.  Hey, that's what facebook is for right?  This is my little Bubba Bear winning the 5A Soccer MVP two straight years in high school.  She's currently flying down to California with her U of U team to play Florida State in the NCAA tournament.  See... there I go again.  Brag Brag Brag!

My oldest daughter with her incredible husband.  Adventure doesn't seem to even say it right when it comes to these two.  They go everywhere, do everything, all while working full time jobs and going through college.  My daughter's working on her 3rd degree.  Yup.  Brag Brag Brag.  Ha!

I don't deserve this group, but somehow God knew I needed them.  He chose us to be together.  Yeah.  I think I just forgot about what things went wrong that made my day go bad.  I can't seem to remember.  I'm so blessed!
