Calls flooded the Boise Police Department dispatch center Monday night after gunshots were fired at an apartment complex on Lakeharbor Lane in Boise, Idaho Monday night.  As police showed up their first priority was apprehending possible suspects and making sure the public was safe.  Priority number two was to make sure that any and all evidence was not tampered with or destroyed and then the investigation ensued.

26-year-old Jason Lettelleir has been arrested and is the prime suspect in the shooting.  According to The Idaho Statesman, BPD stated that it looks as if Lettelleir. along with a bunch of others (how many is not known at this time) were involved in some kind of heated argument that allegedly led to Lettelleir pulling out a gun, pointing at some people and then firing a shot into the air.

Police arrived just after 8 p.m. and Lettelleir along with many others were detained.  When police started to approach the group of people on foot, a shot was fired into the air.  I'm not sure if that was the original shot or if Lettelleir shot multiple times.

Lettelleir reported that he came out of his apartment building with his gun because a group of suspicious people were loitering and seemed to be up to no good.  There is no known connection between the group of people and Lettelleir.  Lettelleir has been booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges.
