If you are like me......in the back of your mind, looming is the idea that any minute "The Big One" will hit the Pacific Northwest.

I went to college in Seattle and lived there after high school so Seattle has a special place in my heart.  Idaho has a lot of Californians :) who have moved here and I'm guessing I'm not alone in my concern of when that earthquake hits, and how the destruction will (and they are saying it will) play out.  California is along the same fault line that is the one expected to let er rip.   Let's hope it's real deep and out in the ocean!

According the article in the New Yorker, the chances of an earthquake happening along the Cascadia Fault (covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska) in the next 50 years is one in three. The odds of "The Big One" along this fault is one in ten. Not sure I like those odds.
