My family and I went to a couple movies over the Thanksgiving weekend, here's my thoughts on what we saw at the box office. On Friday my 7 year old daughter was bound and determined to see "The Good Dinosaur." I'll admit, I'm not a big cartoon fan, so my expectations were really low going into this Disney Pixar movie. Sure, there were parts where my mind started to wander, but overall I really liked it and my daughter was engaged the entire time. I loved the message of the importance of family and the encouragement to face your fears. The "Good Dinosaur" is told by his father to make his own mark in the world and it told a great story of love and friendship. I'd give it 3 our 5 stars.

Today my husband and I saw "Creed" the "Rocky" follow up sequel starring Michael B. Jordan. Let me start off by saying I may be a bit biased because A) I had a major crush on Sylvester Stallone as a pre-teen and B) I could watch Michael B. Jordan all day (that body! Aye aye aye!) That being said, I really liked it. As I told my husband, it's not a film that's going to win a bunch of awards, or become legendary like "Rocky," but it was a good film with great messages about what a family really is and it drove home that life is not just about winning, it's all about the fight. If you were a Rocky fan at all, I think you'll like it. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
