Treasure Valley Fashion Trends

The weather is starting to warm up, which means it's time to go shopping! Here's what's hot this spring in the Treasure Valley! 

Ok, first things first. I have noticed one major fashion trend that seems to be exclusive to the Treasure Valley. Nose Rings! They are everywhere! I swear at least 60% of the women here in the Boise area have a nose piercing! I hardly ever saw that back when I was living in Utah and I don't see it that often in Hollywood, so obviously it's a Boise thing! I like them, don't get me wrong; I've even considered getting one myself, but I just don't see it outside of Idaho.

Moving on to what's in and what's out for Spring. I've been hearing that the skinny jeans and leggings are going out while flare and boot cut jeans and pants are making a comeback. (Aye aye aye! Just when I was finally buying into the skinny jean fad, I have to pull out my old boot cut jeans. Story of my life! I'm usually 6 months behind!)

I've also noticed this crazy sock trend that the kids are into and it's moving into the adult world as we try to stay fashionable. Apparently these days you have to own several pair of these stance socks! (Rick even owns a few pair, not that you want to dress like him, but trust me they are in!)

• bright colors thrown together (think watermelon and lime)
• ruffles
• stripes
• high-shine metallic materials
• backpacks
• tiaras
• chain choker necklaces
• extra long earrings

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of any of these trends! I'd much rather throw on a hoodie and the comfiest jeans I can find, but if you wanna look cool, Marie Claire says these styles are in!
