The GlowTato?!

The 4th Annual Idaho Potato Drop will ring in the New Year, but this year it will be a little more spectacular!

An 18 Foot Glowing Potato that's being dubbed the "GlowTato" will drop at the stroke of midnight at the corner of 8th and Main in downtown Boise.

The potato will glow this year thanks to a fiberglass shell with an interior trussing system that will be fitted with LED lighting.

According to KTVB, the GlowTato has been in the works for the past 3 years.

We can't wait to ring in 2017 with the GlowTato!!
