Teen Killed in Wilder

An 18 year old boy is dead this morning after a terrible accident just north of Wilder.

18 year old Jorge Sanchez of Homedale is no longer with us after he crashed while riding with 20 year old David Chavez Jr. who was driving on Rodeo Lane and crashed at the intersection of Red Top Road.

David had failed to stop at the intersection and collided with 40 year old Scott Hoskins pickup truck.

According to KTVB, Jorge died at the scene while David and two other passengers he had with him were taken to the hospital in Caldwell.

The crash is still under investigation but we do know that no one involved was wearing a seat belt. No one should die at just 18 years old. Please let this terrible tragedy serve as another reminder to buckle up!
