Day two has brought more joy and more hope to families as we continue to raise awareness and donations for St. Jude to help no child die from cancer. We need you to help us get to our 2021 goal. Please help kids and families at St. Jude, here locally and around the world.
Even before the pandemic struck the Emergency Room was a crazy place to work. The stories and struggles I have herd are unreal. Yet for these often overlooked workforce the drama, the trauma and the stress is all too real. The Emergency Room never has a dull day, never. They have to be ready for anything, everything and every kind of person. I consider myself to be a kind and empathetic person but I could not do this job and I am impressed with those who can.
The blood bank really needs more donations. They even have a $5 Amazon gift card incentive if you donate before May 15th. They are nearing critical low in the Treasure Valley. Please help and donate if you are able.
Hospital staff here in Idaho still have COVID-19 as a major part in their every day lives. I was happy to see that Saint Alphonsus came up with great solutions to helping their hospital staff.
The tickets are $100 each and go on sale April 14th at 5am mountain time. Be ready because they are limited to 17,777 ticket sales this year. Last year the tickets sold out in hours. 100% of the ticket sales go directly to St. Jude and their life saving work.
Visitors coming into the hospital even to spread cheer was too great a risk for sick patients so a Boise group got together to spread happiness in a different way and from a safe distance.
Some front line health care workers have already had the vaccine in Boise. Other Idaho Hospitals are expecting their cases to show up any day. Nearly all main Idaho hospitals should have the vaccines for front line health care workers by the end of the week.
Thank you form the bottom of my heart for caring enough to give and keep the life saving work going at St. Jude. In just 2 days and in the year of this crazy pandemic we were able to raise $92,532 to help no child die from cancer.
This is my first time doing a St. Jude radiothon from the DJ booth. It is hard to describe how moving it has been. I have learned so much and I have so much gratitude for St. Jude, their incredible work and the donors like you who make it possible.
