Summer Childcare in Boise
School is out for Summer, and if you're a working Mom like me finding someone to responsibly take care of your kids is a problem! Here are some suggestions.
I don't have much extended family in Idaho, and I am just getting to know people, so finding someone to watch my two children during the Summer months has been a big concern for me.
Luckily, I ended up finding some good options in the Treasure Valley. If you are in the same boat as me, check these places out.
- The Boys and Girls Club: They have 4 locations in the Treasure Valley and their summer program starts at just $25 per kid for the entire summer!! If you need early morning hours like I do, they have an "Early Riser" program that is $300/ per child for the summer.
- The YMCA: They have a HUGE range of day camps that range from sports camps to arts and science camps. Keep in mind these programs are a little more costly, but my kids participated in their Spring Break camps and they had a blast.
- Another great option is day camps offered through the various city recreation centers. Here are the various cities that offer programs.
Last, but certainly not least, my 7 year old daughter Jocelyn wanted to leave you with some words of advice when you are looking for someone to babysit your kids!
