School is out for Summer, and if you're a working Mom like me finding someone to responsibly take care of your kids is a problem! Here are some suggestions.

I don't have much extended family in Idaho, and I am just getting to know people, so finding someone to watch my two children during the Summer months has been a big concern for me.

Luckily, I ended up finding some good options in the Treasure Valley. If you are in the same boat as me, check these places out.

  • The Boys and Girls Club:  They have 4 locations in the Treasure Valley and their summer program starts at just $25 per kid for the entire summer!! If you need early morning hours like I do, they have an "Early Riser" program that is $300/ per child for the summer.
  • The YMCA: They have a HUGE range of day camps that range from sports camps to arts and science camps. Keep in mind these programs are a little more costly, but my kids participated in their Spring Break camps and they had a blast.
  • Another great option is day camps offered through the various city recreation centers. Here are the various cities that offer programs.
    1. Meridian
    2. Nampa
    3. Caldwell
    4. Eagle
    5. Boise

Last, but certainly not least, my 7 year old daughter Jocelyn wanted to leave you with some words of advice when you are looking for someone to babysit your kids!
