We live in a world where you have to take everything seriously. We've seen far too many school shootings over the last few years and we certainly don't want to see something awful like that go down in Idaho. Police are currently investigating a Snapchat threat that may be linked to a school right here in Idaho.

According to KTVB, the handwritten threat was shared on Snapchat last night. It references "CHS" which got Coeur d'Alene police looking into things.

Turns out the "snap" was sent from a different time zone and appears to come from an area east of Northern Idaho. Schools with the initials CHS are being looked at, including a school here in Boise along with schools in Texas, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Washington.

For now, they have beefed up security at Coeur d'Alene High School. No word yet on if they have tightened security at Centennial High School.

Authorities have not determined if this is a credible threat, but they aren't discounting it. We'll keep you posted as this story develops.
