Rick’s Daughter #1 In Country

Rick's daughter's high school team just named #1 in the country by major national newspaper...

My baby girl (Ireland) is finishing up her senior year of high school back in Salt Lake City.  Soccer has been her life since she was 3 years old.  A lot of fun, excitement, money spent, injuries, heartache, and great people we've all experienced along the way.  Last year her team (Davis High) won the 5A Championship.  This year they took it one step further.  All the voting is done and in with the coaches, analyst, and board members.  USA Today has named Davis High (20-0-0) the #1 team in the country for 2015.

Back to back state championships and an undefeated season helped propel this group of superstars to a national title.  Something never done in the history of Utah girl's soccer.  Ireland was fortunate enough to be named 5A MVP for the second consecutive year.  She'll continue her soccer career at the University of Utah where she'll play in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation.  The PAC 12.

She's excited to take on teams like Washington, Stanford, UCLA, Oregon, etc.  Ireland's played for championship teams, regional teams, Olympic development teams, even the U.S. National team... but nothing has compared to her two championship rides with her buddies at Davis High.

I'm truly the definition of "Proud Papa".  If I could say one thing to those parents that are starting out with kids in sports, dance, music, or whatever it is... Embrace it, enjoy the little things, let the things that go wrong roll off your back, and always LOVE your kid!
