One year ago my heart broke as the tears flowed when I opened up during our show about my sweet daughter Lexi who wanted nothing more than to have a family of her own but could not.  Infertility is REAL.  It affects so many and is devastating for some and THIS truth hit me hard when Lexi was so broken down and upset because her dream of being a mother may never come to pass.

A GoFundMe Page was started for Lexi and her husband Porter to help raise funds for InVitro.  Our dear listeners opened up their hearts and GAVE so that my daughter could have a small shot at this dream.  For us, this was going to be about a $40,000 hit.  Yeah.  It costs that much.  Lexi and Porter work but they were also going through college and in their early 20's.  They definitely didn't have $40,000 lying around.  And I'm in radio.  That means NO EXTRA MONEY.

Family, friends, and people that didn't know Lexi at all donated and helped raise about $15,000.  Lexi and Porter took out a loan for the rest and it was time for InVitro.  The doctors explained that they'd get two shots at this.  Naturally, we wanted shot #1 to work out but that didn't happen.  When Lexi called me, again with that devasted tone to her voice explaining that it didn't work, I just wanted to take that pain away from her.  I wanted to tell her everything will work out and I guess in some way, we all knew it would, whether it be through adoption or some other alternatives but she really wanted that special little soul that came from them.

Finally, we received that great news that Lexi was pregnant when she went through her 2nd round of InVitro.  Craziness ensued when we found out she had twins, the baby reveal was wrong, multiple times, and now here we are.  My beautiful baby girl ready to start her own family and we owe it all to generous people who dug into their pockets and gave because my daughter's story spoke to them.

Little Rudy and Riggins are finally here.  Rudy's a little small coming in at 5 lbs 2 oz and he's having a few breathing issues but overall good.  Riggins is the older of the twins and weighed in at 6 lbs 12 oz and is as healthy as they come.

The joy I see on my daughter's face, the relief, and happiness... it's priceless.  She has that because of you.  Yes, everyone who shared her story, donated, discussed it with someone else, it all made a difference.  I say it all the time but I really mean it.  YOU ARE FAMILY to me.  Thank you so much for giving my daughter this miracle.  Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a grandpa AGAIN.  I can't wait to get to know these two beautiful souls God has entrusted us with.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
