Sgt. Steve Walker and Officer Robert Kightlinger of the Middleton Police Department have resigned after allegations of misconduct.

They've been on administrative leave since May and now it's official.  They no longer work for the city of Middleton.  The Owyhee County Prosecutor's Office said they will not be facing any official charges.

There is very little information available to the public as to what happened but it had something to do with these officers using information received at or after a domestic violence call for their own personal gain.

The Middleton Police Department only has five officers, so they're now down to three.  Police Chief Brian Zimmerman is currently looking for their replacements.  A big thumbs up to the Canyon County Sherifff's Department for stepping up and providing additional officers when needed.
