Report: Idaho Lawmaker Remarks on “Clearly Overpaid” Teachers
Ohhhhhh boy. According to reports, GOP Rep. Ron Nate of Rexburg says he doesn't remember his comments on certain teachers and their salaries which could land him in some hot water.
The story is that Nate allegedly made remarks about teachers in school districts who were "clearly overpaid" while he was still on the White House floor. The floor was at ease at the time and his comments were reportedly overheard through his microphone which was still on.
Nate says that while he was aware that his mic was on, he doesn't remember what the exact content of his conversations were.
According to the story, the alleged comments were made as Nate was chatting with GOP Rep. Gayann DeMordaunt of Eagle. They were discussing the salaries of teachers.
