We need something to stop this fire that's pushing 200,000 acres now.  God decided to give our firefighters a little help.

The Pioneer Fire is now the largest wildfire in America.  Cooler temperatures and higher humidity has slowed this baby down.  About 283 square miles have been scorched since it started on July 18.  It's still only 55% contained.

The cold front that's dropped in along with a small amount of rain has really helped.  The fire hasn't been spreading and firefighters have continued to build lines around the northern flank above Highway 17.

Warmer temperatures are expected later this week so it becomes a chess match with firefighters and the fire itself.  We'll keep you posted on the progress.
