No, no, no, we're not shoveling poop alongside the roadways and parks of Meridian.  It's a run / walk that the Meridian Public Works puts on to benefit the Meridian Food Bank.

 

Over 100 people took part in the 8th annual Poop Scoot 3k and 5k fun run in Meridian this morning which started at 8th Street Park and finished up at the waste water treatment plant.  The race kicks off with a flushing toilet, a tennis ball is dropped into the sewer and the objective is to try to beat the tennis ball to the finish line.

 

The entry fee is simple.  It's a donation of food or cash that benefits the Meridian Food Bank.
