Operation Experience Idaho: Zizly Goes To Prison!

Well, not exactly what you may be thinking. I actually took a tour of the Idaho State Correctional Institution (I.S.C.I.) on Friday as part of their 40th anniversary.

I'm super interested in the justice system, so It was pretty cool to be able to experience what a prison looks like from the inside. We  got to see demonstrations from the Corrections Fire Dept. and demonstrations from their Correctional Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T).

They even provided some food, with correctional officers on grill duty.

Afterward we loaded up some vans to take a tour through the inside of their prison. One of the cool things about I.S.C.I. is that they have a dog rehabilitation program, where offenders train dogs who would have otherwise been put down.

It was their first prison tour ever, and if they offer another, I highly recommend it!
