Meridian, and specifically South Meridian is booming!! What does that mean if you live in the #1 City in America? New stores, new neighborhoods, and a Costco?

I live in Meridian and I, like most people who live in the "#1 City in America" am proud to live there. I LOVE my humble little neighborhood with tree lined streets, friends for my kiddos, and I love living in a place that feels safe.

I'm also excited about the Meridian boom because it means more stores around the corner and hopefully it means an increase in home values in the long run!

According to KTVB, South Meridian is particularly booming and the city wants those living in South Meridian to be able to shop in South Meridian, so here are some stores coming your way.

Along Overland Road near the freeway

  • Rite-Aid
  • Starbucks
  • Bishes RV
  • Dowdy's Automotive

Off Eagle Rd and Amity

  • South Meridian YMCA
  • A New City Park

Overland Road between Eagle Rd and Locust Grove Rd

  • WinCo Foods

I've also heard lots of rumors about a Costco being built in North Meridian but the latest news I could find says the city has not received an application. I haven't personally seen Costco breaking ground anywhere but Costco's site states that the Meridian Costco is set for November 2016.

All I know is that if Costco is coming to my town I am one happy camper!!
