Many feel that absolutely no guns in any way shape or form is best when it comes to our public schools.  Others feel differently.

This is all coming out of eastern Idaho where legislation is being pushed that will teach our kids how to safely shoot and use a gun.  Rep. Ron Nate, a Republican out of Rexburg, Idaho is pushing this hard.  He feels that education is the key to not only keep our kids safe, but everyone.

The legislation states that firearms would be permitted to be used in schools during specific elective courses.  Live ammunition would not be permitted at any time.  It would be mandatory for all instructors to be employed by the Idaho Department Fish and Game, a firearms organization, or a law enforcement agency.

The House Education Committee has agreed on a full hearing to try and push this legislation through.
