New Animal Makes Home at Zoo Boise

This is so exciting! What a beautiful animal that has made his home in the African plains exhibit! Here's who you can see at the zoo!

Revan is a 4-year-old male African Lion who according to the Idaho Statesman comes to Zoo Boise from Maryland through a partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Right now he is going through a quarantine period while he adjusts to his new home before being introduced to the two female lions we have at Zoo Boise, Mudiwa and Obadiah.

Once the quarantine period is over, Revan will be on full display in all his glory, but that could take some time. Zoo Boise isn't giving a specific timeline for when Revan will make his official debut. They want to make sure that he is as comfortable as possible with his new surroundings.
