A Nampa High School student has been suspended after texting "We boutta die."

The student from Columbia High School who has not been identified to the public has been suspended for three days.

The text message "We boutta die" captioned a photo of a resource officer dressed in street clothes and holding what has deemed to be a fake rifle.

According to KTVB, the student admitted to sending the message on Friday as a "joke."

The resource officer was going to use the fake gun in a law enforcement class and the school says there was never any threat to students.

The student who sent the text has since apologized, but what are your thoughts? Is a 3 day suspension a sufficient punishment?
