An update on the Nampa shootout with police in a domestic violence case did not end well.  Multiple 911 calls came in at 8:06 this morning about a violent disturbance and stabbing in the 7500 block of Edgebrook Drive.  According to KTVB several people were injured when the Nampa Police arrived on the scene and it was about to get worse.

Chaos ensued with people running, screaming and officers left to try and figure out exactly what was going on and who and where the threat was coming from.  When the officers were finally able to enter the home where the disturbance was coming from they found a dead woman and a man with some kind of weapon.  The specifics on the weapon have not been disclosed to the public yet.

There were also three young children in the home.  Fortunately police were able to keep them safe.  One officer ended up firing multiple shots at the man with the weapon killing him instantly.  A second officer fired as well.  The details on exactly what prompted the shooting has not been released yet. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave.

Most of the people in chaos outside the home lived in the home with the man shot and the dead woman.  The two were a couple and their relationship had been going downhill for a long time.  You can get more information on this story including a man driving a pickup that barreled through the lawn clipping an officer HERE.
